Junior High vs. Idalia

 Story image 1_0

On Friday October 12th, Arickaree Woodlin’s Junior High team played volleyball against the Idalia Wolves. Arickaree served first after the coin toss, but right away the Idalia Wolves were on a roll. Arickaree kept up with them, but had dug themselves into a hole. Our girls worked hard to close the gap, but unfortunately even with their perseverance Idalia ended up winning the first set. Going into the second set Arickaree kept up with good quality serves, sets, and hits from every member of the team . Regrettably in the end Idalia ended up winning the second set to win the match.

The Indian Mustangs Junior High Football team also competed against the Wolves. The Wolves started strong scoring on their second drive. The Indians struck back quickly with a kickoff return for a touchdown by Jake King. The rest of the 1st half was a defensive battle with no points scored. In the 2nd half the Indian Mustangs scored the only touchdown making the score 13 to 7. The final score of the game was 13-7 another Arickaree/Woodlin Junior High win. This makes our Junior High Boys 4-0 for their season. This week the Junior High team played and won against Lonestar on Tuesday the 15th and will travel to the Liberty School to take on the Knighted - Eagles Friday, October 18th at 4:00 for Junior High.
