TITLE: PK-12 Principal

PRIMARY FUNCTION: To provide the leadership and management necessary to administer and supervise all programs, policies, and activities of school to ensure high quality educational experiences and services for the students in a safe and enriching environment.

QUALIFICATIONS: The principal shall hold or have held a valid Colorado Teaching Certificate and hold a current K-12 principal license. They shall have a minimum of four years of experience in teaching and preferably one year as a principal.  They shall have established their self as an educational leader in the profession.

 

  1. A Bachelor of Arts degree in Education

  2. Master of Arts degree or its equivalent in Educational Leadership

  3. Four years of experience in teaching

  4. One year of experience in administration

  5. Possess or be able to obtain a valid Colorado K-12 Principal License

 

 

Salary: $50,000- $70,000 based on experience and qualifications

Title: Preschool Teacher/Director

Bachelor of Arts Degree in Early Childhood (preferred)

Lead Teacher Certified

Fingerprinted for CBI and FBI (can be done within the first week of hire)

Job Summary: Provide a strong foundational experience for children 3-4 years old in order for them to excel in K-12 education.  Allow students to develop in a safe learning environment designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth.

Performance Responsibilities:

  1. Provide a rich learning environment with a variety of materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate, and use in both learning activities and imaginative play.

  2. Teach basic academics such as colors, shapes, letter recognition.  This should be accomplished through avenues such as songs, poems, and hands-on activities.

  3. Teach personal care skills such as, hand washing and what to do with a runny nose, as well as manners such as, “please” and “thank you”.

  4. Organize and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental and social development, such as games, arts and crafts, music, storytelling, and field trips.

  5. Observe and evaluate children's performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.

  6. Identify children showing signs of emotional, developmental, or health-related problems, and discuss them with supervisors, parents or guardians, and child development specialists.

  7. Meet with parents and guardians to discuss their children's progress and needs, determine their priorities for their children, and provide support to parents so they can promote their child’s learning and development.

  8. Prepare materials and classrooms for class activities.

  9. Develop age appropriate classroom procedures to promote good classroom management and set the stage for next grade level expectations.

  10. Keep accurate student and personnel files.

  11. Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide and promote a well-balanced learning environment.

  12. Manage required paperwork for a variety of agencies including, but not limited to, Colorado Preschool Program, Office of Early Childhood, Colorado Department of Education, and Department of Human Services.

  13. File annual Preschool Report with Colorado Department of Education.

  14. Organize and facilitate CPP Advisory Council meeting to meet requirements.

  15. Extra duties as assigned by superintendent.

 

Salary: Based on qualification; BA with director certification, $30,000.00

 

Contract Days: 160

 

 

Elementary Teaching Position: 

 

Position Summary:

The responsibility of this position is to provide a strong foundation of learning in all subject areas while encouraging a passion for learning. Use a variety of teaching methods to ensure student academic success and promote an exemplary program which fosters achievement for all students. This position will need be held by a person with a strong commitment to team work. 

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Create a positive learning environment and effective management structures to purposefully promote and foster effective teaching, learning, and student achievement. Develop lessons that are engaging, differentiated, and aligned with state standards. Collaborate with specialists to provide inclusion for students with exceptional needs, as well as English Learners. Ensure all classroom processes, procedures and data collection are highly organized and effective with optimal use of instructional time. Motivate, engage, and empower learners to seek and achieve high goals. 

 

Provide quality, accurate, constructive, corrective, specific and timely feedback to students that encourages them to perform at their highest level.

Effectively communicate with all stakeholders about student progress in an appropriate manner. 

Use technology to align with 21st Century Learning styles 

 

 

Education/Licenses or Certification: 

Bachelor’s degree Valid Colorado Teaching License with Elementary Education endorsement

Salary: Base $30,300.00
