Broadband to Home Survey
Dear Arickaree Community Members,
The COVID pandemic has brought a significant number of changes to all of our lives. The promise of a light at the end of this tunnel gives us all hope for a return to normalcy, but we also know that day is further off than we would like. Without a doubt, one of the greatest challenges for our students since March has been shifting in and out of remote learning. It has highlighted both the need for robust internet connectivity as well as pockets of its uneven distribution. In early December, the Colorado Legislature created a program to assist schools in providing internet connectivity for students that lack access to a connection suitable for remote learning.
The Arickaree School is partnering with the Colorado Education Broadband Coalition to access resources and funding to ensure that all students can be successful. Below you will find the link to a very short survey intended to help us identify locations that need better internet connections. We understand the sensitive nature of our personal information, and we want to assure you that all of this data will be kept in the strictest of confidence. It will be used for the explicit purpose of delivering better internet connectivity to your home and will never be shared publicly. Furthermore, students’ or family members’ names will never be shared outside of the school district or the Colorado Education Broadband Coalition Executive Committee unless the outcome results in installing a better internet connection to your home at which point the service provider will need to contact you. If this situation should occur, someone from the school will contact you individually prior, and you will have the ability to decline your information to be shared at that time.
We highly appreciate your consideration and know that this is a request for your time during this busy holiday season. We ask that you fill out this survey even if your home internet connection is adequate as it will help us understand the needs of our community. Thank you for your effort as we seek to provide our students with the best education experience possible.
